Getting started

Getting started with Pulseware

You can have a working survey in front of people in about five minutes. Here is the shortest path from nothing to a link you can send.

Start building before you sign up

Open the survey editor and start typing. There is no account, no card and no trial clock — Pulseware only asks for an email address when you publish, and that is so we can send you the responses.

If you would rather not start from a blank page, pick something close from the form and survey template library and change the questions — a contact form template, a registration form template or a customer feedback form template are the three most people reach for. Every template is a real, working form: open it, edit it, publish it.

In a hurry and not sure what to ask? Describe the survey in a sentence and let the AI survey drafting tool write a first pass. You approve or rewrite every question before anything goes live.

Add your questions

Each question is a block. Type a question, choose the block type, and set whether an answer is required. Short answer, long answer, choice, checkboxes, dropdown, ranking, matrix, rating, NPS, yes/no, slider, date, time, email, phone, link, number, address, file upload and signature are all on the free plan.

Two layout choices matter more than the rest. Classic shows a page of questions at once. Conversational shows one question per screen, which is what people mean when they ask for a Typeform-style form. It is a single switch, not a page break per question.

More on each block, and when to use which: building a survey.

Publish and share

Press publish, confirm your email with the code we send, and you get a link. Share the link, drop in a QR code, or paste an embed snippet into your site — there are eight embed styles, from a plain inline form to a chat bubble. See sharing and embedding.

There is no cap on how many people can answer. The free plan collects unlimited responses, subject to the published fair use thresholds.

Read what comes back

Every question gets a summary and a chart, and you can download the lot as CSV or Excel whenever you like — on every plan, including free. Results and insights covers the summary, the response table and the drop-off report.

If you want the answers to land somewhere else — Slack, a spreadsheet, a webhook — set that up once in the Connect tab. See integrations.

Where to go next

Did this answer your question?

If it did not, tell us what was missing and we will fix the article. Help pages that leave people stuck are worse than no help page at all.
