Delete your Pulseware data

Three ways to remove data, depending on what you want gone. Pick the one that matches.

§1 Delete a single survey

Sign in, open the survey from your dashboard at /dashboard, then use the row menu to delete it. This removes the survey, every response submitted to it and any export-cached data. The action is immediate and not recoverable from the dashboard.

§2 Delete individual responses

Open the survey's responses page at /dashboard/[id]/responses and use the per-row delete action. Useful when a respondent asks you to remove their submission and you can identify it.

§3 Delete your entire account

Email support from the address on your Pulseware account with the subject "Delete account". Include any survey share slugs you remember so we can confirm we have the right records.

When you ask us to delete your account we remove:

  • Your user record and email.
  • Every survey you own.
  • Every response submitted to those surveys, including the hashed IP and user-agent.
  • Any export-cache entries linked to those surveys.

We do this within 7 days of receiving the request. We email you when it's done.

§4 Backups

Database backups are retained for 7 days for disaster recovery. Deleted data may persist in those rolling backups until they age out, but it is not accessible to staff or users and is overwritten in the next backup cycle. After 7 days it is gone.

§5 What we do not delete

  • Aggregate, non-identifying counters used to monitor service health (for example, total response counts per day across the platform).
  • Records we are legally required to retain, such as billing records for paid plans (none at launch — the free plan does not require payment data).
  • Email-delivery logs from SendGrid, which keep limited metadata for around 30 days. These do not contain survey content.

§6 Respondent requests

If you are a respondent (you answered someone's survey) and you want a response removed, contact the survey owner directly — they control the data. If you cannot reach them, email support with the survey URL and we will help arrange removal.
