When Pulseware is a better fit

  • You expect more than 100 responses in a month, or want to keep more than 500 of them.
  • You do not want a counter on form views, fields or storage.
  • You want the branding gone for US$21 a month rather than US$39.
  • You want the whole question set available without a field counter.
  • You want drop-off insights and partial responses on a cheaper paid plan.

When Jotform may still be a better fit

  • You need HIPAA compliance — Jotform offers it on Gold; Pulseware does not offer it at all.
  • You need to take payments through the form today, including on the free plan.
  • You already run a workflow on Jotform’s approvals, tables and apps.
  • You need a form with hundreds of fields, where our editor is not the obvious choice.

How many responses can I collect on the free plan?
As many as you like. Pulseware's free plan has no monthly submission counter, subject to the published fair use thresholds of 50,000 responses a month. Jotform's free plan is capped at 100 submissions a month and 500 stored in total, as its pricing page states.
Does Pulseware count form views?
No. Jotform's free plan includes 10,000 monthly form views — a form that people see and do not fill in still counts against that. Pulseware does not meter views at all, on any plan.
What does it cost to remove the branding?
US$21 a month on Pulseware Pro. On Jotform the cheapest plan that removes their branding is Bronze at US$39 a month. Both free plans carry the maker's badge; the difference is what removing it costs.
What does Jotform do that Pulseware does not?
Two things that matter, and we will not bury them. Jotform offers HIPAA compliance on its Gold plan — Pulseware does not offer it at all — and it lets you take payments through a form, including ten payment submissions a month on the free plan. Pulseware payments are on the roadmap and are not here yet.
Is there a limit on fields or file storage?
Not a published one on Pulseware. Jotform's free plan lists 100 fields per form and 100 MB of upload space in total. Pulseware caps a single uploaded file at 10 MB on the free plan and 5 GB on Pro, with no separate field count.
Can I move my Jotform forms across?
Not with a one-click importer yet — ours reads Tally forms today. The quickest route is to open the editor, describe the form to the AI drafting tool or start from a template, then check it against your original. If you have a lot of forms, tell us — Jotform import is on the list and real demand moves it up.
