Archetype scoring

Each answer option carries points that lean towards a result type. At the end of the quiz, the score band decides which result ending is shown — with its own headline and description.

Used by: personality quizzes, BuzzFeed-style quizzes, self-assessments.

Right / wrong scoring

The correct answer on each question scores a point. The result is the total score, with optional score bands for "Expert / Pro / Beginner" endings.

Used by: trivia, knowledge checks, training quizzes.

What kinds of quizzes can I build with Pulseware?
Personality quizzes ("Which character / leader / personality type are you?"), trivia quizzes with right/wrong scoring, BuzzFeed-style "result archetype" quizzes, and scored knowledge tests for training or onboarding. You can build all four with answer points, score bands and result endings.
How does scoring work?
Each answer option can carry points, and you can weight questions. For trivia: give the correct answer a point, and the total is the score. For personality quizzes: give each option points that lean towards a result, then map score bands to result endings. You set it up in the Logic tab — no spreadsheets required.
Can the quiz show a personalised result page?
Yes. Create an ending for each result ("The Strategist", "The Diplomat" etc.), give each one a headline and message, and Pulseware shows the right one based on the respondent's score. An ending can also redirect to your own page and pass the score along.
Is the quiz maker really free?
Yes. Quiz creation, scoring, logic, AI question drafting, result endings, your logo and colours, and unlimited responses (fair use applies) are all on the Free plan. Removing the "Made with Pulseware" badge is on Pro, and custom domains are coming soon.
How do I make my quiz go viral?
Three things matter: a clickable headline ("Which X are you?"), a result screen that people want to screenshot, and a button on the result that sends friends to the quiz. Pulseware lets you set up all three. The fourth thing — distribution — is on you.
Can I use AI to write the quiz?
Yes. Open the AI survey maker, prompt it with something like "12-question personality quiz about leadership style, four result types", and it drafts the questions and answer options. You add the points and result endings in the Logic tab, then edit before publishing.
Does Pulseware support timed quizzes for trivia?
Not today. There is no per-question or per-quiz timer, so the score is based on the answers alone. For high-stakes trivia where speed is everything, evaluate first.
Can I embed the quiz on my website?
Yes — embed it inline, full page, as a pop-up or in one of the other embed styles, or link to the hosted quiz on your Pulseware URL. The hosted page is mobile-first and respects your brand colour even on the Free plan.
How is a quiz different from a survey?
A survey collects opinions — there are no right answers. A quiz returns a result — either a score (trivia, knowledge test) or an archetype (personality). Pulseware does both because the builder shares most of its mechanics; the difference is in scoring and the result endings.
Will my quiz work on mobile?
Mobile-first by design. The quiz runner is built for thumbs: large tap targets, one question at a time, instant transitions. Most personality-quiz traffic is mobile; we tune for it.
