Sharing and collecting
Sharing and embedding a survey
Every survey gets a link the moment you publish. From there you can embed it eight different ways, print it as a QR code, or lock it down so only certain people can answer.

The link and the QR code
Publishing gives you a short link. The Share tab also generates a QR code as PNG or SVG — useful on a table talker, a receipt or a slide.
Hidden fields go on the end of the link as normal query parameters, so the same survey can carry different context from different places.
Eight embed styles
Inline sits in the page. Full page fills it. Pop-up, slider, popover, side tab, chat bubble and feedback tab float over your site and open on a click, a delay or a scroll.
Copy the snippet from the Share tab and paste it into your page. The embed resizes itself, so you do not have to guess a height.
Controlling who can answer
- Password. One password for the whole survey.
- Open and close dates. The survey opens and shuts itself.
- Response limit. Closes after a set number of answers.
- Duplicate prevention. Stops a second response from the same person.
- Email verification. A one-time code to the respondent's address, optionally restricted to your domains. That one is on Pulseware Business.
All of the rest are free. See what each plan includes.
How your link looks when it is pasted
Every survey has a default preview card. On Pro you can set the title, description and image yourself, which matters if the link will be shared publicly rather than sent one-to-one.
Not sure it is worth it? The pricing page lists everything Pro adds for US$21 a month.
Did this answer your question?
If it did not, tell us what was missing and we will fix the article. Help pages that leave people stuck are worse than no help page at all.
