Compare
How Pulseware compares
Five comparisons of the best free form builders and survey makers, each read on the other product's own pages and dated. Every one of them names what the other product does better, because a comparison page that never concedes anything is an advertisement. Each one also links to our free form and survey templates, so you can see the work before you switch.

Every comparison we publish
Sorted by how close the product is to ours. The first is the one worth reading if you are choosing today.

Pulseware vs Tally
The closest comparison we have: two products that give away logic, calculations and unlimited responses. Ours costs less; theirs does more in several places.
Where Tally wins: Payments, custom domains, teams, a public API and 50+ languages
-
Pulseware vs Typeform
Typeform’s free plan stops once its monthly response allowance runs out. Pulseware’s has no ceiling. Both do one question at a time.
Where Typeform wins: The most polished conversational form on the web
-
Pulseware vs SurveyMonkey
SurveyMonkey’s Basic plan stops at 10 questions per survey and limits how many responses you can read. Pulseware limits neither, and exports on every plan.
Where SurveyMonkey wins: Research panels, enterprise governance and analysis tooling
-
Pulseware vs Google Forms
Google Forms is free and fine. Pulseware adds what it was never built for: a real theme editor, eight embed styles, twice the question types and no Google account for respondents.
Where Google Forms wins: No paid tier at all, one-click Google Sheets, free response receipts
-
Pulseware vs Jotform
Jotform’s free plan counts submissions, stored submissions, form views, fields and storage. Pulseware counts none of them, and removes its badge for less than half the price.
Where Jotform wins: HIPAA compliance on Gold, and payments on the free plan

Two things to do before you decide
Work out what it actually costs
Pick a plan, a billing period and a number of years, and the calculator shows both totals and the difference. Pulseware is at least 25% below Tally on every paid plan — Pro is US$21 a month against US$29.
Check the feature you actually need
The feature index lists everything Pulseware does and the plan each one needs, including the features that are still on the way. If the one you need is not there, you have your answer in thirty seconds.
